Connect WhatsApp to Finny
Your WhatsApp number is linked to your Finday account, so Finny on WhatsApp recognises you.
Before you start
- A Finday account with access to Settings.
- WhatsApp on your phone, with a private chat with Finny.
Steps
Step 1: Open Connect WhatsApp to Finny
In the sidebar, choose Settings. On Connect WhatsApp to Finny under Security & alerts, click Open.

Step 2: Create an FY code
In Step 1, Create a linking code, click Create FY code. The one-time code is shown only once. Click Copy code before leaving the page.

Step 3: Send the code to Finny by DM
Open a private WhatsApp chat with Finny and send only the code as a normal message. Never post an FY code in a group. It expires after 10 minutes.

Step 4: Check the status
Once Finny confirms, click Refresh status. In Recent linking codes, your code shows Used.

When you are done
- Your code shows Used, meaning your WhatsApp is linked.
- The company owner then connects the company's data, see the tutorial Connect the company's data to Finny on WhatsApp.
Common problems
A message says a code is already pending
Only one code can be active. Click Revoke on that code, or wait until it expires, then create a new one.
A message says the linking code could not be created
At most 5 codes per hour. Wait a while, then try again.
Finny rejects the code
A code is valid for 10 minutes and only once. Create a new code and send only the code, in a private chat, not a group.
