Jurnal integration with a review before anything syncs

Finday.ai works in front of Jurnal, so documents, approvals, draft transactions and exception reviews are in order before they sync.

Approval before posting

You can set up the workflow so important transactions never become final without a review.

Less data cleanup

Data that reaches your accounting system is in better shape because it has already passed your rules and first checks.

  • Chart of accounts mapping
  • Tax mapping
  • Document trail

Jurnal stays your ledger, Finday.ai handles intake

Finday.ai collects documents, prepares drafts and runs approvals before transactions enter your accounting workflow.

  • Finance documents arrive through one channel.
  • Draft transactions can be reviewed before they sync.
  • Approvals and the audit trail run before data is final.

For teams already using Jurnal

If your business is comfortable with Jurnal, you can add Finday.ai on top of it to cut manual entry and close the month sooner.

  • Vendors, customers and the chart of accounts can be mapped.
  • Exceptions are handled before they affect your reports.
  • A Finday finance expert can help set up the workflow.

Before you start

What we agree on with you before any work begins, so the scope and who is responsible for what are clear from the first month.

Jurnal data objects and sync direction

Start with a list of the objects you need: suppliers or customers, ledger accounts, invoices, payments and journal entries. You and the implementation team map this list together. Support for each object has to be confirmed for your Jurnal account before activation.

  • The flow described on this page: documents come into Finday.ai, the drafts are reviewed, and approved data goes to Jurnal by the method you agree on.
  • If reference data has to be read from Jurnal, decide which system is the main source, how each transaction is identified and how updates are handled, so nothing is recorded twice.
  • Two-way sync, real-time schedules and coverage of every object are not included by default. Write the direction, frequency and objects into the implementation scope.

Prerequisites, connection method and limits

Prepare your company's Jurnal account, a plan and user permissions that fit the work, and a list of the transaction objects involved. Whether your account has API or import access has to be confirmed before anyone commits to a connection method.

  • Confirm whether the connection uses an API or a file exchange for the objects you choose. API access, usage limits and import formats are set by the source system.
  • Prepare sample data with sensitive details removed, your account mapping, currencies, tax codes and the person responsible for approvals.
  • Decide how to handle failed transactions, duplicate documents, locked periods and changes made after posting. Any extension of scope is assessed separately.

Example: a supplier invoice on its way to Jurnal

This illustrates the process and is not a customer case study. A supplier invoice arrives, its amount and references are checked, and the finance team reviews the draft before approving it for the accounting system.

  • Before sending: check the supplier, expense account, date, currency and tax treatment.
  • After sending: compare the reference and total in both systems, and log any failure for review before retrying.
  • In the demo, ask the team to show the same objects in your test account, including one failed transaction and how a duplicate is handled.

Frequently asked questions

Anything else, ask us directly on WhatsApp.

Does Finday.ai replace Jurnal?

No. Finday.ai works alongside Jurnal and handles the automation, approval and review steps around your bookkeeping in Jurnal.

Is the Jurnal integration available for every account?

Availability and scope depend on your company's access, Jurnal plan, API, data format and implementation needs.

Which integrations are supported?

Finday.ai can work with accounting systems and ERPs such as Jurnal, Odoo and Xero, along with bank statements, invoice documents and approval workflows. What each integration covers depends on your access, your data format and what the implementation needs.

Do all Jurnal objects sync both ways straight away?

Not by default. The objects, sync direction, connection method, frequency and access permissions are confirmed in the implementation scope. Before activation, ask for a demo that uses sample transactions like yours.

What should I prepare before an integration demo?

Have the system name and version ready, along with your subscription plan, the objects you want to connect, a rough monthly volume, your account mapping and some anonymized sample data. Please don't send passwords or API keys over WhatsApp.
