Publish payslips and pay salaries

Employees receive their payslips, salaries are paid from the company account, and the payroll payable is cleared in the books.

5 stepsUpdated

Before you start

  • A payroll run with the status Posted.
  • Verified employee bank accounts.
  • An active company IDR bank account linked to the chart of accounts.
  • To prepare the payment, access to pay. For bank instructions and transfer confirmation, also Cash & Bank write access.

Steps

  1. Step 1: Publish the payslips

When you are done

  • Once the batch is confirmed paid, Finday reduces the payroll payable and the paying bank account balance.
  • The bank transactions can be reconciled in Cash & Bank.

Common problems

A published payslip needs correcting

Use Supersede published payslips and give a reason of at least 10 characters.

A transfer to an employee failed

When recording the batch results, mark an exception for that employee and fill in the Failure reason. Failed transfers are not confirmed.
