Generate the BPPU XML for withheld tax
The month's tax withheld from vendor bills becomes a BPPU XML file for Coretax.
Before you start
- Coretax is enabled, and the WHT rates are mapped to a BPPU tax object.
- The month's vendor bills with WHT are approved.
- Vendors have an NPWP and NITKU.
- Tax export access, and tax write access to save the withholding data.
Steps
Step 1: Open WHT BPPU Export
In Transaction › Tax, open the WHT BPPU Export tab, then choose the Year and Month. The counters show how many bills are Ready, Blocked, Exported and Selected.

Step 2: Check the withholding data
In Candidate vendor bills, click Fix on a blocked row. In Review withholding data, check the Withholding date, Vendor document number and Document date, then click Save and revalidate.

Step 3: Select the bills
Tick the eligible bills, or click Select all eligible.

Step 4: Generate the BPPU XML
Click Generate BPPU XML. Finday downloads the file. To download it again, click Download in Recent BPPU runs.

When you are done
- The BPPU XML file is downloaded. Upload it yourself in Coretax.
- The run appears in Recent BPPU runs and can be downloaded again at any time.
- This is only for tax you withhold from vendors. Tax your customers withhold from your sales only shows in the WHT Summary (PPh).
Common problems
A bill stays Blocked
The withholding date has to be confirmed first. Click Fix, check the date, then click Save and revalidate.
A message says there are no WHT candidates for this period
The tax period follows the withholding date, or the bill date if none is set. Check the chosen month and that the bill is approved.
A message says XML generation is not enabled
Tax export access is missing. Ask the company owner or an admin to add it.
