Generate the Output VAT XML for Coretax

A month of sales invoices becomes an XML file ready to upload to Coretax.

6 stepsUpdated

Before you start

  • Coretax is enabled, see the tutorial Set up the VAT accounts and Coretax. Until then, the Tax page only shows Tax rates.
  • The company NPWP and NITKU are filled in, see the tutorial Fill in the company's tax identity.
  • Customers have a 16-digit NPWP, a 22-digit NITKU and a primary address.
  • The month's sales invoices are approved.
  • Tax export access.

Steps

  1. Step 1: Open Output VAT Export

In the sidebar, choose Transaction, then Tax, and open the Output VAT Export tab.

  6. Step 6: Generate the XML

Click Generate XML. Finday shows how many invoices the XML was generated for and downloads the file. Upload that file in Coretax.

When you are done

  • The XML file is downloaded. Upload it yourself in Coretax, outside Finday.
  • The invoices move to Already exported, and the run appears in Export History with the status Generated.
  • Generation is not Coretax acceptance. Record the result, see the tutorial Record the Coretax result and correct an export.

Common problems

The Generate XML button can't be clicked

Select at least one Ready invoice, or click Select all ready.

A message says the VAT request could not be confirmed

Review the invoices and Export History before retrying. If you are correcting, first record the Coretax result of the earlier run that is Submitted.

A message says your role does not have the Tax export permission

Generating XML needs tax export access. Ask the company owner or an admin to add a role that includes it.
